EAST LANSING, MI — Several Michigan State University students groups planted nearly 3,000 flags at “the rock” on campus to honor 9/11 victims.
A memorial event will begin tonight at 6:30 p.m. on campus in East Lansing honoring the 2,977 victims of that day’s deadly attacks in New York, Washington and Pennsylvania.
Young Americans for Freedom and MSU College Republicans were among the school groups planting flags. They also painted “the rock” in the image of the American Flag as part of today’s event.
