Joan Jett has settled a lawsuit she brought against fashion and accessory retailer Hot Topic.
On Monday, a federal judge approved a joint motion filed by Jett and her Blackheart Records Group and Hot Topic dismissing the suit, Law360.com reports.
Last year Jett filed trademark infringement and false advertising claims against Hot Topic over that company's Blackheart lingerie line. Hot Topic had been purchasing products from Jett and Blackheart and were in negotiations over an exclusive merchandising deal but when those talks fell apart the retailer went ahead with its own Blackheart line in violation of Jett's trademarks, the suit alleged.
Terms of the settlement were not made public.
