The Monkees have officially announced dates for their late-spring tour of the U.S., which will visit cities in the Northeast and Midwest. The trek will include a total of 14 concerts and is scheduled to run from a May 22 show in Hampton Beach, New Hampshire, through a June 7 performance in Northfield, Ohio.
As on the band's previous two tours, the lineup for this outing will include all three surviving Monkees -- Micky Dolenz , Michael Nesmith and Peter Tork .
In a press statement, Tork says he's "happily looking forward to reuniting with my partners and sharing this tour with friends and fans in more places."
Meanwhile, Dolenz says he "can't wait to hang out with Papa Nez and the Torkmiester. Looking forward to great music, great fun and truck-stop chili dogs at 4 a.m."
Nesmith adds, "Happy to be going back out playing the music. Sure we will have fun."
The Monkees also have announced that a super-deluxe three-CD edition of their 1966 self-titled debut album will be hitting stores in November .
