Doors guitarist Robby Krieger is the latest rocker to be added to the lineup of second annual Rock Against MS benefit concert , scheduled for March 26 at the famous Whisky a Go-Go in Los Angeles. The event raises money to support multiple sclerosis research.
Krieger joins a star-studded bill that also includes former Runaways members Lita Ford and Cherie Currie , ex- Guns N' Roses guitarist Gilby Clarke , Billy Idol guitarist Steve Stevens , Jack Russell's Great White , former Megadeth bassist James LoMenzo , acclaimed drummer Kenny Aronoff and many others. Many of the participating artists are friends or associates of Nancy B. Sayle , a rock publicist afflicted with MS who has begun a foundation to help those fighting the disease.
During the event, Ford will be presented with the Certified Guitar Legend Award by Guitar Player magazine. Tickets for the fundraiser are available now , with prices spanning $35 for general admission to $1,000 for a reserved VIP booth for eight people that also includes a meet-and-greet with the artists.
