For the first time since he was stricken by a virus that briefly hospitalized him and forced him to postpone concerts in Japan, Korea and the U.S., Paul McCartney is speaking out about his health. As the July 5 kickoff of the latest U.S. leg of his Out There World Tour approaches, the Beatles legend has released a new video message in which he tells fans how he's feeling and shares a little information about the upcoming trek.
"Listen, everybody's been asking me how I feel. I feel great. Thank you very much for asking," Sir Paul declares in the clip. He also points out that the dates that were postponed "have been rescheduled for September and October." He adds, "Feeling great, rocking and rolling. Yeah!" while throwing in a little air-guitar performance to boot.
It's worth noting that McCartney does not currently have any shows lined up in September yet, although an announcement on his official website suggests that new dates will be scheduled during that month. As previously reported, Macca did move seven U.S. concerts that originally had been scheduled in June to October .
In other news, Sir Paul has just added an October 30 performance in Greensboro, North Carolina, to his itinerary. That event, which will take place at the Greensboro Coliseum, will be his first-ever concert in the city.
Tickets for the Greensboro gig will go on sale to the general public this Monday, June 29. Fans who have registered at PaulMcCartney.com or are American Express cardholders, meanwhile, will be able to buy pre-sale tickets beginning this Thursday morning.
