General Motors will start accepting claims from injured victims and families of victims who died in crashes caused by faulty ignition switches.  Those claims can be filed between August 1st and December 31st.  GM will reportedly offer at least a million dollars to families who can prove that the faulty part caused a fatal wreck.  So far, General Motors has acknowledged 13 deaths and 54 injuries connected to the faulty ignition switches.  Meanwhile, GM recalled an additional eight-point-four-million vehicles yesterday because of ignition switch problems.
