Three major pop stars of the 1960s have been added to the lineup of the Beatles tribute concert scheduled for February 6 at New York City's famed Apollo Theater. Dionne Warwick , original Supremes member Mary Wilson and Lulu will perform at the Twist & Shout Benefit Concert , one of a series of events being held in conjunction with the NYC Fab 50: America Celebrates The Beatles festival commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Fab Four's historic first trip to the U.S.
Other artists who have joined the Twist & Shout show's bill include Barbara Harris of The Toys , Margaret Ross Williams of The Cookies and acclaimed R&B singer Bettye LaVette . The lineup also features previously announced performers Lloyd Price , Gary U.S. Bonds , actor/director/composer Melvin Van Peebles and Tony Award-winning actress/singer Dee Dee Bridgewater , among others.
Tickets for the concert are on sale now through Ticketmaster, and cost from $20 to $150. The NYC Fab 50 fest will run from February 6 through February 9 and will include several multi-act tribute events at various venues around the Big Apple.
