Ringo Starr confirmed Monday night that he'll perform with former bandmate Paul McCartney at the Monday, January 27 taping of The Night that Changed America: A Grammy Salute to The Beatles, Access Hollywood reports.

"To celebrate the 50 years since we landed in New York in February [1964], they are putting on a big show on Monday and we will be doing it there,” Ringo told Access Hollywood .

Ringo revealed the news at a Los Angeles event where he was honored with the Lifetime of Peace & Love Award by The David Lynch Foundation.

The taping of the CBS special will take place at the Los Angeles Convention Center, one day after the Grammy Awards.  Rumors of a Ringo and Paul reunion performance began circulating after the Recording Academy announced that both would be performing separately at the awards show.

The Night that Changed America special will look back on the 50th anniversary of The Beatles' historic appearance on The Ed Sullivan Show , and will feature a variety of top artists performing the songs that The Beatles performed that famous night in 1964, as well as other tunes from the Fab Four's catalog.

The special will feature a one-off reunion by the '80s pop duo Eurythmics , as well as performances from Alicia Keys , John Legend , John Mayer , Keith Urban , and Maroon 5 .

The Night that Changed America: A Grammy Salute to The Beatles will air on CBS on February 9 at 8 p.m. ET, which is the exact date and time that The Beatles' original Ed Sullivan Show performance aired.
