The Turtles have announced the lineup and initial itinerary for the 2014 edition of their annual Happy Together Tour .  The trek, which is marking its 30th anniversary this year, also will feature former Three Dog Night singer Chuck Negron , ex- Grand Funk Railroad frontman Mark Farner , Mitch Ryder and the Detroit Wheels , and Gary Lewis & the Playboys .

So far, more than 40 dates have been confirmed for the package tour, which is scheduled to kick off June 7 in Biloxi, Mississippi, and is mapped out through an August 27 show in Pueblo, Colorado.  Among the major cities the outing will visit are Pittsburgh; Nashville; Des Moines, Iowa; Indianapolis, Indiana; Louisville, Kentucky; Winnipeg, Canada; and St. Paul, Minnesota.

Along with each act performing a set filled with classic hits, the show also includes a special multimedia presentation offering video highlights of historic and nostalgic moments from the 1960s and '70s.  More dates are expected to be added to the tour soon.

"This Happy Together Tour 2014 sizes up to be the strongest and most rocking summer we've had so far," says Turtles singer Mark "Eddie" Volman in a statement.  "The artists who are with us make us excited to get started and the audience is in for a great night of music and memories."
