After mounting a joint tour last summer in honor of their respective 40th anniversaries, Lynyrd Skynyrd and Bad Company are teaming up again for a new U.S. trek .  The 10-date outing is scheduled to get under way July 10 in Bangor, Maine, and is mapped out through a July 25 show in Clarkston, Michigan.

"We're looking forward to being out on tour with our friends, Bad Company," says Skynyrd singer Johnny Van Zant in a statement.  "Last year was great!  If you want to see good rock 'n' roll, come check this out."

Adds Bad Company frontman Paul Rodgers , "Last year's tour with our friends in Skynyrd was a fantastic time for all.  We're looking forward to spending 10 dates with them and our fans again this summer."

Bad Company also has announced a June 8 warm-up performance in Rama, Canada, that it will play without Skynyrd.  In addition to Rodgers, Bad Company's lineup for this year's trek will feature his fellow founding band mates Simon Kirke on guitar and Mick Ralphs on drums, along with ex- Heart guitarist Howard Leese and bassist Todd Ronning , who plays in Paul's solo group.

As for Skynyrd, the Southern rock legends have a bevy of shows scheduled before and after their dates with Bad Company.  You can check out the band's full itinerary at LynyrdSkynyrd.com .
