A six-disc box set offering remastered and expanded editions of three albums from one of the most fruitful and prolific period's in Eric Clapton 's storied career will be released later this fall. Give Me Strength: The 1974/1975 Recordings will feature five CDs and a Blu-ray disc containing deluxe versions of Clapton's classic studio efforts 461 Ocean Boulevard and There's One in Every Crowd , as well as of his 1975 live album E.C. Was Here .
Give Me Strength will include previously unreleased tracks, studio outtakes and concert performances recorded by the blues-rock legend between April 1974 and June 1975. In addition to the bonus material added to each of the aforementioned albums, the compilation will offer a disc featuring songs Clapton recorded with blues guitar great Freddie King at Miami's famed Criteria Studios.
The Blu-ray disc, meanwhile, will feature a previously unreleased 5.1 surround-sound mix of 461 Ocean Boulevard , as well as quadraphonic mixes of that album and There's One in Every Crowd .
The box set will come packaged with a 60-page hardbound book boasting extensive liner notes, as well as rare and candid photographs from the period.
Give Me Strength: The 1974/1975 Recordings will be released on November 26. A separate three-LP vinyl set featuring remixed versions of 461 Ocean Boulevard , There's One in Every Crowd and E.C. Was Here will be available on the same day.
