LANSING (WKZO) -- Governor Rick Snyder's nonprofit civic fund is paying for Detroit Emergency Manager Kevyn Orr's lodging and airline flights home to Maryland.

According to a spokesman for Orr, Snyder's New Energy to Reinvent and Diversity or NERD Fund, is paying for Orr's suite at the Book Cadillac, but the emergency manager pays for his own food and room service.  The NERD Fund has been under scrutiny because the governor has not revealed the names of the donors.

Orr's 275-thousand-dollar annual salary and a Michigan State Police security detail is paid by the state, while his incidental costs relating to his job are covered by the city of Detroit.
