New Compilation Bridges Paul Simon's Solo Career with Simon & Garfunkel Years

The first single-CD compilation combining highlights from Paul Simon 's years with Simon & Garfunkel and his solo catalog will be released next month.  Due out October 15, Over the Bridge of Time: A Paul Simon Retrospective (1964-2011) features 20 tracks spanning Simon & Garfunkel's 1965 chart-topping hit "The Sound of Silence" through "Love and Hard Times," a tune from Paul's latest studio effort, So Beautiful or So What .

The collection boasts five other memorable tunes from the Simon & Garfunkel canon, including "The Boxer," "Cecilia" and "Bridge over Troubled Water."  Among the Simon solo classics featured on Over the Bridge of Time are "Mother and Child Reunion," "50 Ways to Leave Your Lover," "Slip Slidin' Away," "Late in the Evening" and "You Can Call Me Al." 

Over the Bridge of Time will arrive in stores on the same day as Paul Simon -- The Complete Albums Collection , the recently announced box set featuring 14 of the acclaimed singer/songwriter's full-length recordings.  That package boasts Simon's 12 studio efforts, as well as two of his live albums.
