LANSING (WKZO) -- A new report shows driving in Michigan is on the decline.
The PIRGIM Education Fund report indicates per-person driving miles in the state are down 6.7-percent since 2005. Nationally, we're also driving fewer miles. Michigan's decline is even sharper since 2007, falling 7.6-percent.
PIRGIM officials say the report shows the need for a new focus on public transportation and biking.
