Detroit native, radio legend Casey Kasem seriously ill

DETROIT (WKZO) -- TMZ reports that radio legend and Detroit native Casey Kasem has just a few months left to live due to advanced Parkinson's Disease, citing a representative for the 81-year-old's wife.  His three children are in a legal battle with Jean Kasem over his medical care.

Casey Kasem graduated from Northwestern High School in Detroit and Wayne State University and began his career in the Motor City.  Along with radio, Kasem is famous for providing the voice of Shaggy in the cartoon series "Scooby-Doo."
