It's official: Boston will releasing Life, Love & Hope , the band's first new studio album in more than a decade, on December 3.

Tom Scholz , Boston's founder, lead guitarist and songwriter, says of the new collection, "These are songs from the heart, each of them taking many months of effort to write, arrange, perform and record, always up to the demands of Boston's harshest critic, me.

He adds that the tracks "have all been meticulously recorded to analogue tape on the same machines and equipment used for Boston's hits for the past 35 years."

Life, Love & Hope will include lead vocals by several singers, including original Boston frontman Brad Delp , who sadly committed suicide in 2007.  Also contributing their voices to the record are Scholz and his current band mates Tommy DeCarlo and David Victor , as well as former Boston bassist Kimberly Dahme .

Scholz notes that some of the new tunes feature the classic sound of the band's early recordings, while on other tracks, "I let my imagination run wild."

Life, Love & Hope will only be the sixth full-length studio effort Boston has released in its 37-year career.  The band's last album, Corporate America , hit stores in 2002.
