The Rolling Stones are headed to the Land Down Under. The band has announced it will perform the first concert at the Adelaide Oval, a brand-new venue in Adelaide, Australia, on March 22, 2014.

Former Stones guitarist Mick Taylor , who's made a series of cameos at the band's concerts over the past year, will make an appearance at the Adelaide show.

The concert is being billed as one of "the biggest, if not the biggest, stage and production Adelaide has ever seen, with nearly 60 trucks required for all the staging and production."

Mick Jagger says in a statement, “It’s great to be invited to Adelaide to open the historic Oval…we’re really looking forward to doing this gig, it will be the first time we’ve been to Adelaide in nearly 20 years, so see you there!”

Keith Richards adds, “Hi everyone down in Adelaide, it’s been a while since we were in your back yard…see you on March 22 when we’ll take over your new stadium and make it our own, look forward to it."

This will be the Stones' first concert in Australia since 2006.

Tickets go on sale to the public on November 25. The Stones will announce additional concerts for Australia, as well as one date in New Zealand, in the coming weeks.
