Michigan Lottery workers get incentive pay

LANSING (WKZO) -- Seventy-five people who work for the Michigan Lottery Bureau shared a total of more than 300-thousand dollars in incentive pay in the past year.

The spiffs are part of a program set up for sales reps who meet quarterly goals for selling certain tickets.  Each person is eligible for up to six-thousand dollars a year.  Since the program's inception in 2005, employees have received almost 750-thousand dollars in performance pay.

"The goal is always to increase sales," says Andi Brancato with the Michigan Lottery Bureau.  "This goal can only be reached with the combined efforts of many lottery employees, including managers who create game strategies, game concepts and advertising campaigns."
