DETROIT (WKZO) -- Thanks, in part, to a one and a half million dollar incentive from the Michigan Film Office, a tv pilot is scheduled to shoot in Detroit.
The pilot for a new Syfy Television Network series based upon the science fiction film "12 Monkeys" is slated for production next year. "Our ability to attract a television pilot like 12 Monkeys is a testament to the talent found across Michigan's film and digital media industry," says Michigan Film Office Director Margaret O'Riley, "as well as the competitive nature of our film program."
This is the first project approved in fiscal year 2014. Thirty-five million dollars awarded for the Warner Brothers Superman/Batman feature film will also be allocated out of 2014 funding.
