Queen 's Roger Taylor and Brian May are featured in a new video promoting the first U.S. tour of the Queen-themed stage musical, We Will Rock You , which will begin October 15 at the Hippodrome Theatre in Baltimore.  The production currently is scheduled to visit about two dozen cities for multi-night runs of varying length, finishing up next year with a July 15-August 24 stand in Los Angeles.

"Our songs are theatrical rock 'n' roll songs," notes Taylor in the clip.  "They lean to that direction, which I guess is one of the reasons that we think our music might be suitable for a musical."

May adds, "The show is funny so, in a sense, you get the impression it's very light and maybe very inconsequential, but by…halfway through the second act, you realize that something has happened.  You're feeling something that you didn't expect to feel, which is quite an emotional thing."

We Will Rock You uses more than 20 classic Queen songs to help tell the futuristic story of a group of young people oppressed by an authoritarian corporation that suppresses people's individuality.  The show, which premiered in London in 2002, was written by British comedian, author and playwright Ben Elton , who co-created of the cult U.K. TV comedy The Young Ones .

Among the Queen tunes featured in the play are "Another One Bites the Dust," "Crazy Little Thing Called Love," "We Are the Champions," "Bohemian Rhapsody" and, not surprisingly, "We Will Rock You."  To find out more details about the musical, including how to purchase tickets to its upcoming performances, visit WeWillRockYou.com .
