DETROIT (WKZO) -- The five-millionth Jeep Grand Cherokee was produced at Chrysler's Jefferson North Assembly Plant in Detroit this week.  Workers joined company executives for the occasion as Senior Vice President of Manufacturing for Chrysler Group Scott Garberding drove the vehicle off the line.

The Grand Cherokee was completely redesigned in 2009 and was the first vehicle introduced after Chrysler's bankruptcy.  The vehicle was given a number of awards and overall is the most honored sport utility vehicle in U.S. auto history.

The five-millionth Jeep will be donated to the USO.
