Last year, The Who 's Roger Daltrey lent his voice to an animated hookah-smoking caterpillar character featured briefly in an Alice in Wonderland -themed episode of ABC's Once upon a Time , and now he's set to reprise the role in an upcoming spinoff series. At a Television Critics Association panel held on Sunday, Once Upon a Time executive producer Adam Horowitz revealed that the rock legend will be among the stars appearing in the new show, which will be titled Once upon a Time in Wonderland .
Horowitz said that he and fellow executive producer Edward Kitsis are huge Who fans, so they're excited that the singer is involved in the new program. He describes Wonderland as a "psychedelic romance" that's "trippy," "weird" and "intense, but that also has some real characters with humor and romance."
Once upon a Time in Wonderland will premiere on Thursday, October 10, at 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT on ABC.
