The man who co-wrote the massive 1979 hit "Good Times" received some very good news this week. Nile Rodgers , leader of Chic and producer and co-writer of smash hits like Diana Ross ' "I'm Coming Out" and Madonna 's "Like a Virgin," has announced that he is cancer-free. He has been battling prostate cancer since late 2010 and in fact wrote about getting the news at the end of his autobiography, Le Freak .

Now, the 60-year-old Rodgers has taken to Twitter to announce that he is currently clear of cancer. He tweeted, "Whoa, I just got home from the doctor. He gave me [a] video of him going down inside my body… Instead of showing gross internal video, I'll show my doctor's examination room. I'M ALL CLEAR AGAIN!"  Good times indeed.
