Neil Young and Leon Russell saluted Willie Nelson at a concert event celebrating the country legend's upcoming 80th birthday.  The concert was held last Thursday at Jack White's Third Man Records shop in Nashville and was filmed for an upcoming CMT Crossroads TV special.

Rolling Stone reports that unlike all the other guest -- including Sheryl Crow and Norah Jones -- Young played his own tunes, not Willie's, including the rarely performed number "Sail Away" from 1979's Rust Never Sleeps .   Young also performed his classic "Long May You Run" kidding Willie by saying, "I wrote it for my car, but it works for you great."

Nelson turns 80 on April 29.  CMT Crossroads: Willie Nelson & Friends from Third Man Records will premiere in late June on CMT.
