Journey is teaming up with country stars Rascal Flatts for a special one-night-only performance this summer in Hershey, Pennsylvania. The two bands will hit the stage on August 1 at Hersheypark Stadium.

This isn't the first time Journey and Rascal Flatts will have joined forces.  They met in 2012 when they collaborated on a version of "Don't Stop Believin'" at the CMT Music Awards.  Then, they reunited earlier this year in New Orleans for a Super Bowl edition of CMT Crossroads .

Journey guitarist Neal Schon says those appearances left him and his band mates wanting more.  "Our most recent performances with Rascal Flatts were awesome," he declares.  "They're great guys and great musicians, and we're all looking forward to this show."

Rascal Flatts singer Gary LeVox says the feeling is mutual.  "Our respect for [Journey]as musicians deepened through the television shows we did together," he notes.  "That talk soon led to wanting to do more."

The Band Perry and The Voice winner Cassadee Pope will open the concert.  Tickets go on sale this Friday.
