PONTIAC (WKZO) -- The suspect in 24 random shootings along roadways in four counties will be receiving an independent psychiatric examination.
The attorney for Raulie Casteel of Wixom told an Oakland County judge this morning that the process would take approximately six weeks. Judge Denise Langford Morris agreed to the request and set a pre-trial date of May 30th.
Casteel is facing a total of 60 charges in Oakland County while he is also charged with 15 counts including terrorism in Livingston County. An earlier examination done at the state forensic center found Casteel competent to stand trial.
