There are times when I get asked about how you go about
pairing a wine with food. You could read about it, or give the wine you like to
drink a chance with pretty much anything.
For the latter line, I can’t tell you what you like to drink. If you don’t enjoy Sauvignon Blanc or Merlot, I can’t recommend to you a light, crisp Sauvignon Blanc or a bold yet fruit forward Merlot for a meal, even if it’s the choice I would select.
That rule of thumb aside, this video from the folks at Wine Spectator aims to give you an idea about finding a wine when you pull out the grill.
Their website has an entire video series about cooking and pairing wines with their creation. It could help alleviate some uncertainty the next time you think about what wine should go with what food you’re about to make.
