Creedence Clearwater Revisited brings great memories to Sioux Empire Fair

by Mark Cartwright

I knew John Fogerty wasn't going to be there, so like many people, I was wondering if the singer was going to do justice or not.  From the first notes of Born on the Bayou, the question was answered.  Bulldog Tristao has that familiar grit, that not only makes him the perfect fit for the band, but also made me think he's probably been in and AC\DC tribute band at some point.  If not, he could surely form one in his spare time.  Purists will argue that without Fogerty, these songs should not be played\covered, even by other former members of CCR, but I disagree, as long as the end product is done well, it does not dampen the product, or the great memories associated with the songs,  and it was obvious that the "Revisited" line-up, featuring original CCR members Stu Cook and Doug Clifford, is quite capable.
