Kevin Smith isn't taking all the credit for Ben Affleck getting the role of Batman in the upcoming Superman movie, but he's not saying he didn't have anything to do with it either.

As you may know Kevin Smith is a HUGE comic book fan (he writes them too) aside from being a pretty awesome director. Currently he has a show on AMC called "Comic Book Men", but years ago he was best known as Silent Bob in the series of Jay & Silent Bob movies he directed. Those movies included Mallrats (1995), Chasing Amy (1997) and Dogma (1999) all staring Ben Affleck, some of his first movies.

Smith was pretty pumped when hearing that the guy he worked with the first 12 years of his career landed the role of one of his favorite comic book heroes of all time.

See what he had to say about it here.
